Zscaler (NASDAQ: ZS) is a cloud security company best known for its Zero Trust Exchange, an architecture it has spent the past decade promoting as a replacement for legacy perimeter and VPN-based defenses. Founded by chairman and CEO Jay Chaudhry, the company has steadily expanded into adjacent areas — including data security, browser isolation, and most recently AI governance.
In May 2026, Zscaler announced plans to acquire Symmetry Systems and launched Project AI-Guardian to extend Zero Trust controls to AI agents.
