Qwen
Qwen is Alibaba Cloud’s family of large language and multimodal models. Earlier Qwen releases have been open-weighted, while top-end capabilities are reserved for proprietary tiers.
The latest flagship, Qwen 3.7-Max, was unveiled in May 2026 at Alibaba’s first international Qwen Conference in Singapore. It is a proprietary model with more than one trillion parameters and a one-million-token context window, tailored for agentic workflows in which models reason, code and execute complex multi-step tasks autonomously.
Qwen’s architecture also underpins Sea-Lion, Southeast Asia’s first large language model, developed in collaboration with AI Singapore and deployed by enterprises across ASEAN for complex regional translation and cultural-context tasks.
