Citigroup
Citigroup (NYSE: C) is a global investment bank and the third-largest U.S. bank by assets. Headquartered in New York, it is one of only a handful of truly global investment banks with substantial corporate coverage across North America, EMEA and Asia-Pacific.
Citi has been a pioneer of the modern bank-plus-private-credit origination model. In September 2024 it announced a $25 billion direct-lending program with Apollo Global Management focused on North America. In May 2026 it announced a follow-on €15 billion program with HPS Investment Partners covering Europe, the United Kingdom and the Middle East.
